Finance & Money
Personal-finance calculators that compute what your bank should have told you at signup: full EMI schedules with the interest split, compound-return projections including inflation, sales-tax add and remove at any rate, currency conversion at reference rates, and a monthly income-and-expenses tracker that shows what you actually save.
About finance & money on Dailiyo
Finance maths is not hard, but banks and brokers rarely present it plainly. A loan is quoted as "9% APR over 15 years" — most people cannot mentally translate that into "you will pay 82% more than you borrowed in interest by the end". Our loan calculators do that translation on one screen, including the standard reducing-balance schedule that every regulated lender uses (RBI in India, PRA in the UK, OCC in the US), plus optional prepayment modelling so you can see how much interest a lump-sum payment saves.
Investment growth is the mirror image. Compound interest looks miraculous over 30 years — until you subtract inflation and see the real purchasing-power projection. Our investment tool takes contributions, expected annual return and expected inflation, and shows both nominal and real (inflation-adjusted) growth on the same chart. That single view usually reframes conversations about "should I invest £200 a month?" more than any article on the subject.
We do not run affiliate links to lenders, brokers, credit cards or any financial product. We do not accept sponsored placements. Where a tool covers region-specific conventions (Indian SIP calculators, Bangladeshi land units, UK Stamp Duty bands, EU SEPA payment rules), we say which regime the formulas match and update the tool when the underlying rules change. All finance tools carry an educational-use disclaimer inline — for a real decision, talk to a qualified financial planner or accountant, not a webpage.

Frequently asked questions
- Do these calculators account for taxes and fees?
- Only where we explicitly say so on the tool. The loan calculator computes principal + interest under the standard reducing-balance formula; it does not add processing fees, prepayment penalties or your local income tax. Add those separately for the true cost of borrowing.
- Which currency does the investment growth tool use?
- Whichever you enter. The maths is currency-agnostic — you enter amounts in your own currency and the output is in the same currency. For cross-currency projections (e.g., saving in GBP for a USD purchase), use the currency converter tool alongside.
- Are the tax brackets kept current?
- Yes for the countries we explicitly list on each tool. Where a tool depends on statutory rates (VAT, sales tax, income tax), we review those bands at least annually and update whenever the underlying rate changes. If a rate on a tool looks out of date, email us and we will investigate.
