The tool gives you a canvas to draw on with a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen. Choose ink colour and pen width, draw your signature, click Save. The result is a transparent PNG that you can layer over any document.
For best results, use a touchscreen device or graphics tablet — mouse signatures are recognisable but look stiff. If you can sign on paper, photograph it, and use a tool like the Background Remover to extract the signature, the result is usually closer to your real signature.
In most jurisdictions, a signed PNG is acceptable for informal use but may not meet the requirements for legal contracts. For legally binding signatures, use a service like DocuSign or HelloSign that provides certificates and audit trails.
